Amazon has launched the Kindle 2022, which features an updated appearance, an improved display, and charging through USB-C. The most recent version of Amazon’s entry-level Kindle has many of the same characteristics as the more costly Paperwhite model, such as a front-lit E ink display with 300 PPI resolution that is 6 inches in length. The new Kindle weighs 158 grams and has dimensions of 157.8 by 108.6 by 8.0 millimeters, making it slightly more compact than the Paperwhite predecessor.

Amazon is increasing the amount of built-in storage from 8 gigabytes to 16 gigabytes, and the company estimates that the device’s battery will last for up to six weeks if it is used for only 30 minutes of reading each day and if wireless connectivity is disabled. This new entry-level Kindle has a USB-C port for charging, which is a much-appreciated upgrade from prior models of the Kindle. In addition, the most recent version of the Kindle contains between 30 and 75% recycled polymers and 90 percent recycled magnesium.
