Tulsi Gabbard Announced She Was Leaving The Democratic Party

Announced She Was Leaving The Democratic Party, Calling It “An Elitist Cabal Of Warmongers.
Former Hawaiian Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced she was leaving the Democratic Party, denouncing it as an “elitist cabal of warmongers” and urging other “sane independent Democrats” to come out with it.
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party, which is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers, driven by a cowardly wakefulness that divides us by considering every issue on a racial basis. and incite anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith and spirituality, demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, arm the national security state to persecute political opponents, and above all, pushing us even closer to nuclear war,” Gabbard said on Twitter .
Gabbard represented Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021 as a Democrat, and in 2020 she filed an unsuccessful bid for the party’s presidential nomination. In a video posted to Twitter on Tuesday, she said the party she is leaving stands for the “powerful elite” and not the people.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard answers media questions after a campaign event on February 9, 2020 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

“If you can no longer digest the direction in which the so-called ideologues of the awakened Democratic Party are leading our country, I invite you to join me,” she said.
Gabbard linked her announcement to the launch of a YouTube podcast series called The Tulsi Gabbard Show. The first upload is a 28-minute episode titled “Why I’m Quitting the Democratic Party” in which she details her entry into the Democratic Party as a young woman “inspired by Democrats who opposed the Vietnam War” and those who stood up for plantation workers in Hawaii.
The main reason her 20-year tenure in the Democratic Party will be cut short, she said, is her fear that “President Biden and the Democratic Party elite have pushed us to the abyss of nuclear war, risking World War III.” and destroying the world as we know it.”
Gabbard said her entry into the 2020 presidential cycle was also linked to an imminent “nuclear holocaust.”
“I ran for president in 2020 because I knew this was where we were heading. All the signs were there. I brought this up every single day during the campaign and on the stage of the national debate for those of you who may have come to the City Hall or who watched, I’m sure you noticed, but politicians and the media completely ignored it, ”she said .
In her statement and throughout the episode, Gabbard touted a number of traditionally conservative talking points, echoing right-wing rhetoric such as “awakening” and “elites” and returning to phrases that were regularly circulated by the top leaders of the Republican Party.

She accused Democrats of turning American democracy into a “banana republic,” a term widely used by Republican leaders, especially to characterize the FBI raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August.

“The MAL raid is yet another escalation in the use of weapons by federal agencies against political opponents of the regime, while people like Hunter Biden are being treated with kid gloves. Now the regime is getting another 87,000 IRS agents to use against its adversaries? Banana Republic,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wrote after the raid.
Tulsi Gabbard has been a Fox News correspondent for a long time — she even guest-hosted Tucker Carlson Tonight in August, after the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago.
“Whatever you think of Donald Trump, there’s no denying that the unprecedented raid on his Palm Beach home earlier this week set our country on a dangerous new course, and there’s no going back,” she said on the show.
Tulsi Gabbard has not announced her next steps or whether she intends to move to the Republican Party.
