FIFA World Cup 2022 Updates For Fans
The organizers of the World Cup in Qatar have released updates for fans.
Hayya Card holders traveling to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be able to bring up to three stowaway fans with them, tournament organizers said.
It is clarified that the Hayya with Me (1+3) feature will only be available to adult Hayya cardholders who have applied for it using their ticket number.
At the same time, there are no age restrictions for ticketless fans. It is only specified that they must have a valid passport and not be residents of Qatar, and must also confirm the fact of their residence in Qatar during the tournament.
Everyone who wants to take advantage of this offer will be required to pay a fee of 500 QAR, guests under the age of 12 are exempt from the fee.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar kicks off on November 20th and will run until December 18th. It is specified that in the period from November 1 to December 23, only football fans will be allowed to enter the country, and tourist visas will not be issued.
Foreign visitors with approved Hayya card applications will receive an entry permit via email. The Hayya card, along with a match ticket, will allow fans to visit stadiums.
Cardholders will also enjoy free public transport and numerous discounts on championship days. Fans will be able to book cruise ship cabins, apartments, villas, hotel, and fan tree rooms, and short stay accommodations with third parties.
As previously reported, the authorities of the United Arab Emirates will issue multiple-entry tourist visas for visitors to the World Cup in Qatar. Even though the World Cup will last only a month, the visas will be valid for 90 days.
Visas will be issued to Hayya cardholders. The cost of obtaining a visa will be 100 dirhams. It can be extended for another 90 days by paying the standard visa fee. Hayya cardholders can apply for visas and enter the UAE from November 1 on the ICP online portal.
Fans from Europe and Latin America, including Spain, Brazil, Argentina and Germany, show the greatest interest in the Mundial and expect their teams to hold out in the championship until the final.
