Joe Biden, the US Vice President, has fallen off his bike.

Following a beach ride with wife Jill Biden, Joe Biden collapses while getting off his bike after having his ‘foot hooked.’

The US president fell off his bike at his seaside home in the US state of Delaware as he sought to get off it at the end of a ride at Cape Henlopen State Park, but said he was unharmed.

He fell off his bike when he tried to get off it at the end of a ride at Cape Henlopen State Park near his seaside house in the US state on Saturday, but said he was unharmed.

 

“I’m fine,” he assured reporters after being helped up by US Secret Service agents.

 

“My foot got stuck in the toe cages.”

 

The 79-year-old president and first wife Jill Biden were finishing a morning bike ride when he decided to go over to a mob of well-wishers gathered near the bike track.

When he tried to dismount, however, he tumbled to the ground, causing stunned bystanders to gasp. Following his collapse on a route near Gordons Pond, several security agents raced to his rescue. The president swiftly regained his composure and spent several minutes mingling with the crowd who had gathered to see him cycle.

 

He had waved to members of the press when he walked past them earlier, unaccompanied by the first lady, and remarked, “Good morning!”

 

After celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary on Friday, he and Jill have been spending the long weekend at their Rehoboth Beach house.

 

The duo is said to be avid cyclists who enjoy going for trips around Delaware. Mr Biden had left 11 minutes earlier, accompanied by his security team, dressed in a grey t-shirt, navy blue shorts, blue Nike training shoes, and a riding helmet.

 

 

He spoke to members of the general public as well as the press after the fall. He informed reporters that he would speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping soon. “I’m in the process of thinking up my mind,” Biden said when questioned about trade tariffs. In March, he boarded Air Force One, his presidential plane. The US president slipped three times as he ascended the aircraft’s steps at Maryland’s Joint Base Andrews.
