The Microsoft Surface laptop line includes both regular and Pro models, but so far it has not included devices designed for gaming. Sources say that this will change soon.

Microsoft may reportedly enter the gaming segment with the Surface gaming laptop, which will feature high-performance hardware from Intel and NVIDIA. The proposed name of the upcoming model is Microsoft Surface Gaming.

According to available information, the laptop is equipped with a 16-inch PixelSense Flow display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and support for Dolby Vision. It will ship in a 14.07 x 9.65 x 0.7-inch case. The laptop will be available with 14-core Intel Core i7-12700H or 12-core Core i5-12500H. You can choose from 16 GB or up to 32 GB of LPDDR4x memory. In terms of GPU, the Core i7 models will ship with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB, while the Core i5 models will ship with the RTX 3050 Ti 4GB.

It is noted that Microsoft Surface Gaming with a Core i7 configuration can run up to 15 hours with normal use, and the Core i5 variant can run up to 16 hours.

Since the laptop is designed for gamers, it will come bundled with the Xbox app and a monthly Xbox Game Pass Ultimate package. No pricing or availability details yet, but the Microsoft Surface Gaming is expected to launch later this year or at CES 2023.
