According to insiders, at the beginning of 2023, Sony will release its new virtual reality helmet – PlayStation VR2.

Apparently, the Japanese corporation is really aiming for a very early release of the device. This follows from the fact that journalists finally got access to it, having tested a number of gaming novelties: Resident Evil Village VR, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition, and The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2.

Of course, almost immediately our foreign colleagues shared their impressions of the headset. According to them, PS VR2, like its predecessor, is a wired solution. At the same time, Sony has added an adjustment to it for greater user convenience.

OLED panels are able to provide a picture at a resolution of 2000 x 2040 on each screen, while the frequency is 120 Hz. What conclusions does this give us? Such that this is the highest resolution among the headsets.

Journalists also drew attention to the pleasant tactile feedback in the helmet controller. According to them, it very much resembles that of the DualSense for PlayStation 5. Also, the VR controller has a semblance of adaptive triggers.
