It’s still September and Elden Ring has already won the Game of the Year award and gamers expect it to win many more awards. Apart from the addictive gameplay, people are praising the many well-written characters such as Malenia, Radan, Marika and Radagon, each of which has a fascinating backstory and plays an important role in the game’s story.
The history of Elden Ring is quite intriguing and includes several pivotal events such as the destruction of the Elden Ring and the war that followed. Lore also speaks of the Tainted Ones and how they were expelled from the Between-earths after they lost the blessing of Grace. Be that as it may, the most famous event during the War of Devastation was the horrific battle between the two demigods, Starkur Radan and Malenya the Severed. A user shared an image on social media that sparked a discussion in the comments section. The image is a screenshot of Radan’s boss fight as he fires a volley of massive arrows towards the player. Interestingly, Morgn_Ladimore notes that these are technically not arrows, but spears used by the Knights of Cleanroth in Elden Ring .

The user assumes that these spears are the same ones that Malenia and her army used to attack Radan during the war that took place during the destruction of the Ring of Elden . Radan was afflicted by the Scarlet Rot during the War of Overwhelm, which sent him into a state of madness and immense rage. Meanwhile, others have pointed out that these spears cannot be crafted, but must be obtained by killing the Knights of Cleanroth in the Heart of Eonia region of Kaelid, with a very low drop rate. Some users have also hinted at Radan pulling arrows from his back instead of a quiver.
Apart from the copies of Knight Cleanroth, the Radan boss fight is unique in many ways, mainly due to the numerous NPC summons allowed. To unlock the Radan boss fight, players need to progress far enough in the Ranni quest. Defeating him will drop Memory of the Starscourge, Greater Rune of Radan, and 70,000 runes.
