The novelty was called Xperia 5 IV. The smartphone is the successor to the  Xperia 5 III and a smaller version of the Xperia 1 IV. According to the manufacturer, the panel is 50% brighter than the previous version. The novelty also boasts the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and an increased battery of up to 5000 mAh. The battery supports 30W fast charging and wireless.

The smartphone has a side fingerprint scanner, IP68 protection, a 3.5 mm jack, and stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, DSEE Ultimate, and 360 Reality Audio. The smartphone is covered on both sides with tempered glass Gorilla Glass Victus.
