Lionel Messi (1987) is an Argentine soccer player, one of the best strikers in the world. With technical skill and exceptional speed, he was named the best football player in the world seven times, winning the Ballon d’Or trophy in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2019, and 2021.
During the 21 years he played for Barcelona, Messi became the club’s all-time top scorer with 672 goals in 778 games. He was the player who scored the most goals in a single season: 91 goals in 2012.
Messi was the player who won the most titles with the Catalan club, 34 in total, including four Champions Leagues (2006, 2009, 2011, and 2015) and ten Spanish championships. Since 2021 he has been playing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
