THE NEW BMW M 1000 R MOTORCYCLE WILL REACH 207 HP. OFFICIAL INFORMATION

 

BMW has the S 1000 R, which is about to undergo significant changes. They will occur due to the fact that many competitors of the Bavarian brand today are actively increasing the power of their products. Therefore, engineers are already preparing a new 2023 BMW M 1000 R with a more efficient engine.

The current S 1000 R is designed to meet buyers’ needs who want a powerful yet practical motorcycle designed for everyday commuting. Therefore, the Bavarian model is equipped with a 165-horsepower engine, the characteristics of which will not be changed. BMW is also bringing the S 1000 RR motorcycle to the market, equipped with a 999cc engine with proprietary ShiftCam variable valve timing, making it possible to produce 204 hp.

But the Bavarian company applied the M-platform to this model. This is evidenced by published transport-type approval documents. According to them, the future Bavarian novelty will be equipped with a 207-horsepower engine that will provide acceleration up to 254 km/h.

The documents do not indicate how the suspension of the BMW M 1000 R will change. But it is likely that the bike will receive a semi-active system, which the Bavarian company has recently begun to implement in its bikes. Also, the novelty will have a slightly increased wheelbase and height, which will lead to some changes in the suspension configuration. In addition, a special rear tire will be prepared for the BMW M 1000 R, which, apparently, should increase the grip of a high-speed bike. The body design of the Bavarian model has not yet been disclosed. It is possible that it will also undergo major changes so that all three modifications of the motorcycle can be visually distinguished.
