Tom Brady is retiring

Tom Brady, a legendary quarterback, has said that he is leaving the NFL after 23 seasons.  In a video posted Wednesday morning on his social media, Brady said, “I’ll get right to the point.” “I’m retiring for good. Last time, the process was a big deal, so when I woke up this morning, I thought I’d hit the record button and let you guys know first. Not much longer. You can only make one really emotional announcement about retiring, and I did mine last year.”

Just one year ago, on February 1, 2022, Brady said he was retiring from American football. However, just over a month later, he said he would play for the 2022-2023 season, which he did with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reaching the wild card round.

His YouTube channel

In the video that he uploaded to his YouTube channel on Wednesday, the seven-time champion of the Super Bowl expressed gratitude to his family, friends, colleagues, and opponents for their support throughout his lengthy and fruitful career.

In the video that lasted for fifty-three seconds, Brady is heard saying, “Thank you so much for helping me live out my greatest goal.” “There is not a single thing that I would change.”

Because Tom Brady has won seven Vince Lombardi Trophies—six of them with the New England Patriots and one of them with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers—many people consider him to be the greatest quarterback in the history of the game.

The three-time league MVP broke practically every passing record over the course of his lengthy career, including the record for most passing yards in a regular season (89,214) and the record for most throwing touchdowns (649). Additionally, he holds the record for most victories by a player in the NFL.

The Patriots selected Brady with the 199th overall pick:

In the sixth round of the NFL draught in the year 2000, the Patriots selected Brady with the 199th overall pick. He was a member of the Foxborough team for a total of twenty seasons.

After the conclusion of the 2020 campaign, he became a free agent and subsequently signed with the Buccaneers. In 2021, under his direction, the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl.

“The very greatest that there has ever been. There is not the slightest bit of uncertainty about that. It has been both a delight and an honour to serve you.” J.J. Watt, widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive players of all time, posted a tweet on Wednesday.

He added: “A gathering of folks who have recently retired takes place at the local golf course every day at ten in the morning. Bring money with you because the new guy will cover the cost of drinks.”

Even after all that he had accomplished, Tom Brady found it more difficult to win in his final NFL season.

The Buccaneers finished with a record of 8-9, and many of their stars didn’t perform as well as they did when the team won a title two seasons before.

Brady wasn’t his normal self, making blunders that were out of character and that hindered Tampa Bay’s offence. Brady’s performance was a detriment to the Buccaneers’ offence.

Off the field, Tom Brady had a challenging year as well, as he finalised his divorce from Gisele Bundchen, his wife of thirteen years.

Brady is heading into decline as the owner of more Super Bowls than any other NFL franchise, a 15-time Pro Bowler, and a solid contender for not just the NFL’s greatest player of all time, but one of the greatest athletes of all time in any sport. This is despite the fact that he struggled during his senior year. Brady is the owner of more Super Bowls than any other NFL franchise.
