91Mobiles claims that one of Apple’s largest distributors in the Asia-Pacific region is gearing up to release new iPhone and iPad models next month, including the alleged iPhone 14 mini and the 10th generation iPad with a 10.2-inch screen.
The report comes from well-known insider Evan Blass, who usually publishes reliable leaks. But it looks like he was wrong this time.
Firstly, many reputable analysts and insiders have repeatedly said that this year there will be no iPhone 14 mini due to the low sales of last year’s model. Instead, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max should be introduced. It’s possible that the iPhone 13 mini will remain in Apple’s lineup at a lower price point for those who prefer a 5.4-inch screen.
Second, display industry analyst Ross Young says the 10th generation iPad will feature a larger 10.5-inch display and get a redesign, while 91Mobiles’ report says a 10.2-inch tablet.
