Google’s “Reader Mode” for people with dyslexia and ADHD is now available

Because the reader mode is intended to help you read, it lacks photos and videos. This allows you to concentrate on the text. Google Classroom has recently received a slew of new features. This tool’s new “reading mode” is an intriguing addition. It is a special mode designed to help people with dyslexia and ADHD read more effectively.

This new reading mode allows users to switch to a reading view that they can customize and that lacks images and videos. This allows the viewer to read more intently and not become distracted halfway through the content.

What does the customization side panel allow for dyslexia and ADHD patients:

The customization side panel allows readers to change their typefaces, font sizes, spacing between words, and even the background color of the page.

Chrome users with such learning disabilities can easily switch between settings to find one that allows them to read the text more easily.

A brand new feature for Google Meet has been released, and it’s called Hand Raise Gesture Detection. It’s driven by artificial intelligence. The artificial intelligence is able to recognize when a student raises their hand physically or in real life. It then navigates the user to the main grid and selects the hand raise indicator for them automatically.

AI-powered classroom tool:

According to various sources, 15-20% of Pakistani children have minor or major dyslexia, and 2.49% of the population has ADHD. With features like the reading mode, people with such learning disabilities can easily complete their daily tasks.

Google has added an AI-powered classroom tool that is just as cool as the reading mode with this update. “Hand Raise Gesture Detection” is the name of the AI-powered tool. When a student raises their hand in person, it sends a “hand raised” message to the meeting.
