Super People is an attempt by the South Korean studio Wonder People to complete the famous battle royale. Player Unknown’s Battleground (PUBG). The story in the game is more for show. Scientists have genetically modified humans to help colonize Mars. The result is soldiers with superpowers that surpass the standard military. However, criminal elements became interested in this program. The bandits managed to sow discord among the super-soldiers, and in order to avoid a moral decline and a terrorist threat, the soldiers began to be “dumped” on a secluded island. There, superhumans kill each other to their heart’s content.

The player will play for such a soldier. Alone, or in the company of comrades, you will have to destroy everyone who landed on the island. And this will have to be done quickly, as a snowstorm is approaching.

Super People copies PUBG in many ways. The game starts with 40-50 people parachuting from a helicopter. Once on the ground, the player must get equipment as quickly as possible: weapons, armor, backpack, medicines, and other consumables. Everything you need is generously scattered throughout the buildings.

Weapons and armor have their own color, which is responsible for the quality of the selected item. Let’s say a purple Kalashnikov assault rifle shoots better than a green one. Also, modules are attached to the weapon, such as sights, silencers, flame arresters, etc.

Compared to PUBG, the game’s shooting is more arcade-like. However, skill is still required to use picked-up guns: each weapon has spread and recoil parameters. The developers have not forgotten about ballistics. When shooting at a long distance, you need to take it higher, otherwise, you will not hit. Try to spend time at the training ground, where it is convenient to get used to the mechanics of the game and get used to the behavior of guns with and without modules. That’s just the time of stay there, for some unknown reason, made limited.

In addition, each class has a passive preference for one or another type of weapon. This does not mean that other weapons cannot be used, just tasty bonuses to a certain gun encourage its use. As for the superweapon, it is even more arcade-like. A flamethrower that shoots fireballs or a six-barreled machine gun the size of half the body of a fighter can hardly be called realistic. But they do not give an absolute advantage over ordinary enemies, and this is enough.

Unlike PUBG, finding the right things in Super People is much easier. If in PUBG you had to search and storm buildings to protect yourself, then in Super People everything you need is lying around just like that. After that, the player proceeds to kill other players.

Then the game comes down to finding capsules, gold, blueprints, and upgraded weapons. The shrinking blizzard dome forces players closer together, leaving less room to maneuver.

But things get interesting towards the end. If the soldiers start out as ordinary people, then over time they acquire superpowers, and in the final battle they already fly, teleport, and blow up everything around them.

Also in the game, you can find a personal box, which stores items and weapons chosen before the match. And towards the end, helicopters will drop loads with high-level equipment. True, it is likely that they will be guarded by snipers.

Classes

Before the start of the match, the player chooses a class: machine gunner, Demoman, driver, gas soldier, and sniper. There are many classes, and in the course of pumping, they improve.

Each class has abilities. The gas soldier has poisoned bullets, and the machine gunner is able to tumble. Also, some classes are given special weapons. The Demoman gets a rocket launcher; the machine gunner has a six-barreled machine gun; the gas soldier wields a flamethrower.

Upon reaching the tenth level, classes gain superpowers. These are skills that give an advantage over the enemy. The Striker class has a super jump, which allows you to quickly close the distance with the enemy; “Teleporter” can, as the name of the class suggests, teleport; “Marine” creates a fog around itself, in which it perfectly sees targets, but they do not see it.

But in order to get these abilities, you need to level up. And he is credited for killing enemies, or if you do not die for a long time. The level also rises when using super capsules. The color of the capsules determines the color of the ability you get. But luck is also important here. I got lucky once and got a flare gun early in the game, which gave me an advantage over others.

The class system is fully revealed in a team of two or four people. It becomes possible to combine abilities with the skills of comrades: for example, when the “Titan” puts up his shield, the “Sniper” can shoot from behind him. A variety of classes provides many options for such interactions.

True, not all classes are open at the beginning. Some become available after leveling up.

Also, the characteristics are affected by the use of energy bars. They affect running speed, armor level, and damage dealt. You can eat up to three bars of the same type at a time.

Since the game is in early beta, it is not possible to buy premium currency with real money in it. However, many actions here are performed for in-game currency. Want to change your class before disembarking? Use a ticket or pay money. Do you want to collect weapons in the arsenal? Look for blueprints and pay money. Winning the game depends on the straightness of hands. But many of the elements that you have to pay for are directly related to the gameplay. And when the in-game store is introduced, the game will most likely present a check for a comfortable game.

Technical condition

During the game, there was not a single serious bug. But the state of the servers leaves much to be desired. For two days it was impossible to enter the lobby due to a server error. Locations are loaded as you approach them. Immediately after landing, they may not load at home, which allows you to quickly collect equipment.

In chats, players often complain about cheaters. They believe that their opponents are using programs that increase their accuracy or reduce recoil. But this may be due to high ping, which affects hit registration. According to the developers, they are seriously engaged in the fight against cheaters.

Also, the game likes to put players with a high-level difference in one match. So, in one game there may be beginners who think for several minutes before shooting. And they are opposed by veterans who hit the head in a super jump.

Appearance

Since the game is Asian, the characters have a model appearance. The women here are beautiful, and the men are effeminate. And the appearance editor and clothes with accessories allow you to create a fighter to your liking. The only pity is that there is no breast-size regulator …

The island itself, on which hostilities take place, is very beautiful. Although the slow loading speed spoils the impression. It’s also fun to watch the characters. They have separate animations for jumping, pulling up and staying in one place. And if you jump into the water, your clothes will get wet. A trifle, but nice.

Diagnosis

Super People is superior to PUBG in many ways. Matches are searched faster here, and they are more dynamic. It’s a very nice feeling that you are playing as a super-soldier who is getting stronger every minute. If the developers manage to figure out the servers and improve performance, then the game will be good fun. But it is still unclear how much the game store will affect the gameplay – otherwise, the pleasure will be expensive.
