The Honor Pad 8 unveiled in July will launch soon in India. This revelation comes from Indian online retailer Flipkart, which has started teasing the tablet on its website. There’s no word from Honor about the Pad 8’s pricing and availability in India, but the tablet is already listed on the company’s official Indian website.

The Honor Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC and sports a 12″ LCD of 2,000×1,200-pixel resolution. It runs Android 12-based MagicUI 6.1 and has 128GB of storage onboard. However, it’s unclear how much RAM the tablet will have in India.

The Snapdragon 680-powered tablet features two cameras – a 5MP primary camera on the rear and another 5MP unit on the front. It has eight speakers (4 basses + 4 treble) onboard and packs a 7,250 mAh battery that supports 22.5W charging.

The Pad 8 comes in three colors but it looks like Indian customers will only have one option.

Honor Pad 8 Reviews:

Fresh off its IFA 2022 unveiling for the European market, we have the Honor Pad 8 with us for a quick hands-on run over its key features. Despite the Pad 8 naming, the tablet features a large 12-inch IPS LCD screen with 1200 x 2000-pixel resolution and a 5:3 aspect ratio. This makes the Pad 8 a great device for multi-media consumption and multitasking. It does feel weird using the tablet in portrait mode given the weird aspect ratio.

Our review unit comes in the Blue colorway which is a dark shade that attracts plenty of fingerprints. There’s a pair of speakers on each side of the display and a USB-C cable for charging and data transfers. The top half has the power and volume buttons. The retail box brings a 22.5W charger and USB-A to USB-C cable. Honor is also offering an optional keyboard accessory which should help with productivity tasks.

Pad 8 has a premium look and feel with its sleek aluminum build. It’s also quite thin at 6.9mm and weighs only 520 grams. The software interface is covered by Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12. There are some neat multitasking features including a quick toggle app drawer with floating windows. The dock can also hold up to four recently used apps. You can also mirror a compatible Honor smartphone on the tablet.
